Jenna Schermerhorn, WHNP-BC
Jenna Schermerhorn completed her undergraduate degree in nursing at Illinois State University in 2007.
She received her Masters as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner- Board Certified (WHNP-BC) from the
University of Illinois Circle Campus in 2014. Prior to starting at Lake Shore in 2015, Jenna had 7+ years of
experience working as a labor and delivery nurse for Christ Hospital and more recently Prentice
Women’s Hospital.
Jenna’s clinical interests include preventive care and contraception education. She enjoys helping her
patients feel confident in their decisions related to their healthcare.
Jenna currently lives in the Western suburbs area with her husband and their cat and dog. In her free
time, Jenna enjoys spending time with family, traveling as well as exploring what Chicago has to offer.
Jillian Vander Pol, WHNP-BC
Jillian Vander Pol completed her undergraduate degree in nursing at Purdue University Calumet
University in 2014 as well as an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University in 2011.
She received her Masters as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner- Board Certified (WHNP-BC) from the Loyola University Chicago Campus in 2020. Prior to starting at Lake Shore Jillian has prior experience as a WHNP-BC in a private practice setting and has nine years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse for Prentice Women’s Hospital.
Jillian’s clinical interests include obstetrics and preventative care. She is passionate about helping women become active participants in their health care.
Jillian currently lives in the Chicago area with her husband and their twin boys. In her free time, Jillian enjoys spending time with family, traveling, and experiencing Chicago’s restaurants, art and music.
Grace Lattner, WHNP-BC
Grace Lattner completed her undergraduate degree in nursing at the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2018. She received her Master’s as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from Georgetown University – Board Certified (WHNP-BC) in 2024. Prior to starting at Lake Shore, Grace spent four years as a labor and delivery nurse at Prentice Women’s Hospital and has experience in the Gastrointestinal/Hepatology Unit at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
Grace knew she wanted to join the healthcare field from a young age. Throughout her own experiences and studies, she fell in love with educating women about their health and bodies. She will continue to hold L&D close to her heart and is passionate about providing prenatal care.
Grace lives on Chicago’s North Side with her husband. In her free time, Grace enjoys catching up on her favorite shows, playing board games and exploring hikes the Midwest has to offer.
