Dawn McGee, M.D.
Dr. Dawn McGee was born and raised in New Haven, Connecticut. She received her medical degree at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Dr. McGee completed her residency in Obstetrics and Genecology at The Medical College of Virginia. During her residency, she served as chief resident and received the William C. Langdon Award for Personal Concern for Patients.
Dr. McGee loves caring for pregnant patients and delivering babies is still a wonder. Still, I also enjoy the fullness of gynecology – talking, among other things, about abnormal bleeding, contraception, STDs, abnormal Pap smears and the trickiness of menopause. I was originally drawn to OB/GYN because it allowed me to develop long-term relationships with patients – from puberty, through the reproductive years and beyond. I could be with women in the office, labor, delivery, and surgery. Those relationships are the foundation of my practice.
When out of the office, I love reading a good book with my dog curled by my side, exercising, and sharing laughter and stories over good food and drink with my family and friends.
